Satun or Tha-htone or Thit-To Thee
Satun or Tha-Htone or Thi-To Thee is a wild mangosteen widely grow naturally in maritime southeast asia.
The Malay people and the people of Phillipines call iot Setul and the English name is Santol.
The name Satun is a Thai version of its original Malay name, Setul (santol, or wild mangosteen tree).
Burmese call it Thit-To . The fruit is similar to mangosteen but the inner parts are yellowish not white .
It taste sour not sweet like mangosteen.
The ancient races in Southeast Asia who wrote and spoke Toranian languages chose their city names from the nature and so that there were/are Satun in Burma and Siam.
